Accountant and CPA serving Vaughan

Vaughan is home to one of the largest concentrations of construction, trades, manufacturing, and logistics businesses in the GTA, many of them family-owned. I help Vaughan business owners and families keep clean books, stay on top of HST, payroll, and WSIB, and prepare year-end compilation statements and tax returns.

Accounting for Vaughan's industrial, trades, and growing residential communities

Across Concord, Vaughan Metropolitan Centre (VMC), Woodbridge, Maple, Kleinburg, and Carrville, business owners face practical accounting demands: job costing, equipment purchases and leases, inventory, subcontractor payments, and lender reporting. For construction and trades businesses in Concord and Woodbridge, I manage monthly bookkeeping, HST/GST returns, payroll, and WSIB reconciliations, and T4/T4A slips. When a bank, bonding company, or commercial landlord asks for year-end financial statements, I prepare compilation engagements under CSRS 4200 (formerly Notice to Reader; no audit or review assurance is provided) alongside the T2 corporate tax return. I also work with real estate investors and family holdings in Maple, Patterson, Vellore Village, and Kleinburg on corporate structures, shareholder loan tracking, and personal T1 returns, in English or Russian. All fees are agreed in writing and are plus HST.

Questions from Vaughan clients

When must a Vaughan trade contractor or subcontractor register for HST?

Registration is mandatory once your total taxable sales (including zero-rated sales) exceed the $30,000 small supplier threshold in a single calendar quarter or across four consecutive quarters. Many subcontractors register voluntarily earlier to claim input tax credits (ITCs) on tools, materials, and fuel.

My bank asked for year-end financial statements for a commercial loan or equipment lease. What do you provide?

I prepare year-end financial statements under a CSRS 4200 compilation engagement, together with your T2 corporate tax return. A compilation report states that management is responsible for the information and that no audit or review assurance is expressed, which is what lenders commonly request for small and medium private corporations.

How do payroll remittances and WSIB work for a growing Vaughan crew?

Employers remit income tax, CPP, and EI deductions on the CRA schedule and issue T4 slips by the end of February, while monthly WSIB reporters complete an annual reconciliation by March 31. I handle both the ongoing payroll runs and the year-end filings in English or Russian. This website is also available in Ukrainian.
